People Photos

Sun Jun 14, 2009, 5:22 AM
I don't like to take pictures of people, because people are too often fake. Public actions and appearance are a facade, and the impulsive behavior one might chance to catch is not likely to be photogenic at all. Since they already halfassedly stage their actions, I would prefer a fully staged photo of a person to a candid public photo. If it's going to be fake I'd like some control.

By the same token, this is why I don't like zoos for picture purposes. Everything about them except the physical presence of the animal is fake. Also, since the habitats are relatively small and unchanging, everyone who visits even a year from then can see what you see.

There is an allure to these pictures still, I just feel it is not my thing.

You cannot see the wind, yet you know it's there.
You cannot see God, so why is the wind there, but God is not?
